After 15 years of investment in the agricultural commodities sector, including a 200,000 tonne capacity sugar refinery, we have now achieved annual turnover in excess of USD 550 Million, and plan to add to this growth with further investments in both upstream and downstream initiatives. One of the flagship initiatives of the Olam Livelihood Charter is its participation in the Sulawesi Alliance of Farmers, Olam and Blommer Chocolate (SAFOB), one of the largest cocoa programmes in the world. Working in partnership with the USAID Indonesia-funded Agribusiness Market and Support Activity (AMARTA), the project aims to help improve the economic and social welfare of farming communities in Indonesia.

Surya Citra Televisi

Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is an Indonesian television station. The channel is the second private television station in Indonesia after RCTI. SCTV began broadcasting on 24 August 1990 in Surabaya, East Java as Surabaya Centra Televisi, broadcasting to the city and the surrounding area. At first, the programming was similar to that of RCTI, using some of their news programs until they could produce their own. On 1 August 1993, SCTV obtained a national license and eventually moved its operations to Jakarta. Since that, the full name is changed to Surya Citra Televisi. The main office is in Central Jakarta, with studios in West Jakarta. It is owned by Surya Citra Media, part of the technology solution company Emtek. On February 18, 2011, the commissioners of both parent companies of Indosiar and SCTV agreed to a merger, although it is subject to government approval due to both companies going public.
