Moratelindo is a wholesale telecom infrastructure provider established in 2000. We went global by opening an office in Singapore in conjunction with the construction of submarine cable MIC-1 (Moratelindo International Cable-One system) connecting Jakarta-Singapore. In 2010, the Government of Singapore granted a Facilities-Based Operations (FBO) license to Moratel International Pte. Ltd., as a network gateway for international leased line services. In Singapore, Moratelindo also built fiber optic networks and implemented DWDM (Dense Wavelength-division Multiplexing) to instill greater backbone network capacity. The Indonesian government has relied on Moratelindo to support local national infrastructure with essential permits; JARTUP (Closed Fixed Network), NAP (Network Access Point), ISP (Internet Service Provider), and JARTAPLOK (Local Fixed Network), as well as to build and operate national data centers; Nusantara Internet Exchange (NIX). In 2012, Moratelindo completed construction of major international submarine backbone of Jakarta, Bangka, Bintan, Batam, and Singapore (B3JS). Earlier, a similar network (about 400 kilometers) has also been constructed connecting Batam-Dumai-Melaka (BDM). This network is the result of collaboration between Moratelindo, XL Axiata and Telekom Malaysia.
